Block 11 consists of at least 14 veterans of the Civil War, two of which are most likely cenotaphs: Leroy Dodge who was killed at James Island, SC; and Selden Wood who died of disease at Chattanooga, TN and is buried in the national cemetery there.
Lot 3. Walter A. Palmer of the 10th Michigan Cavalry and Leroy Dodge of the 8th Michigan Infantry (cenotaph).
Lot 5. Major Elijah D. Waters of the 6th Michigan Cavalry.
Lot 7. Major Henry Grout paymaster of U. S. Volunteers, Major General Byron Root Pierce of the 3rd Michigan Infantry and his brother Captain Silas K. Pierce of the 4th Michigan Cavalry.
Lot 9. 2nd Lieutenant Don Dodge of the 10th Michigan Cavalry.
Lot 10. Van Bovies is listed by Francis Hall as a veteran but there is no further record of a man by this name in either military or cemetery sources.
Lot 15. Selden Wood of the 1st Engineers & Mechanics.
Lot 17. Edgar P. Mills of the 1st Iowa Cavalry.
Lot 20. Seth C. Searle is listed by Francis Hall but not found in the Michigan regimental index.
Lot 26. Daniel Dodge of the 26th Michigan Infantry.
Lot 28. Martin Boland of the 182nd Ohio Infantry and Lieutenant James McKay of the 1st North Carolina Infantry.
