So fades the lovely blooming flower,

Frail smiling solace of an hour

who died October 13, 1831, aged 72 years

He was one of the number who

threw the Tea overboard in Boston

Harbour 1773 and afterwards

served in the Revolutionary war --

was a brave soldier, valuable citizen,

and an honest man.

Erected on the Slater lot, as a memorial to the members of the Boston Tea party

of that church;

She died

April 1st 1811,

in the 53rd year of

her age
