Civil War Veterans in Fulton Cemetery block 10

[For details on this project visit the introduction in the block 01 post. By lot no.]

Block 10 consists of at least 4 veterans of the Civil War. While not a soldier per se I have include Benjamin Luce in lot 25 since he was the sutler (supplier) for the 3rd Michigan Infantry.


Lot 10. Samuel J. Chase fifer in the 21st Michigan Infantry.


Lot 21. Charles D. Blakeslee served in the 21st Michigan Infantry.


Lot 25. Benjamin Luce was sutler for the 3rd Michigan Infantry.


Lot 27. Henry B. Burritt was captain in the 8th Michigan Infantry and Thomas Gibbons of the 24th Michigan Infantry subsequently the Veterans Reserve Corps. Burritt died May 24, 1865 in Grand Rapids from wounds received near Petersburg, VA on April 2, 1865.
