Colonel Thomas and Sarah Coles - Swan Point


Col. Coles was by birth 
an Englishman; 
 he came to this Country before 
the Revolutionary Period, 
and served 
in various Military Capacities 
throughout the War of 
INDEPENDENCE. 
He was for twenty years Collector 
of the Port of Providence. 
He was a man of firmness, 
and integrity, 
and of consequence universally 
respected.
