Thomas and Sarah Coles - Swan Point



Col. Thomas Coles
Born Dec. 9th 1752
Died Oct. 13th, 1844

Col. Coles was by birth
an Englishman;
he came to this Country before
the Revolutionary Period,
and served
in various Military Capacities
throughout the War of
INDEPENDENCE.
He was for twenty years Collector
of the Port of Providence.
He was a man of Firmness
and Integrity,
and of consequence universally
respected.




Sarah Coles, his wife
Born Dec. 17th, 1761
Died Aug. 6th, 1837


Sarah Coles
was the daughter of
Ephraim and Priscilla Walker
Her kindness and affection
are held in sweet remembrance
by her friends and relatives.
A cheerful and beneficent spirit
influenced her to the
close of life.
