_____
Thy youth was lovely! like the flower
of fairest bloom which soonest dies;
The Gardener came at early hour;
And took thee to the upper skies.
(S. Tingley, Jr.)
Sacred to the memory of
Mrs. Phebe Morris,
daughter of
Mr. Philander & Mrs. Phebe Brown,
who died Sept. 30, 1818,
in the 58th year of her age.
But cease my murmuring; don't complain,
She's happier far than I;
she's gone to join the happy throng,
and reign with Christ on high.
